In Jianning County, Fujian, there is a seasoned technical expert who has spent nearly two decades in the machinery manufacturing industry. From auto parts to environmental protection equipment, from non-standard machinery to agricultural technology, he has built a proven track record across multiple sectors of the machinery industry. After years of development away from home, he chose to return to his hometown, bringing advanced technology and industrial projects back to contribute to local development. He is Huang Yingdong (also known as Jason), a pragmatic innovator specializing in eco-friendly lightweight brick production lines and custom non-standard machinery.

From Auto Parts Design to Independent Innovation

At the production workshop of Sanming Jason Environmental Protection Technology in Yijia Township, Jianning County, Jaosn carefully calibrates every component of the equipment. The newly developed waterproof and fireproof eco-friendly lightweight brick production line, created by his team after overcoming multiple technical challenges, holds independent invention patents and has gained strong market recognition for its green features and reliable performance.
Jaosn majored in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation in college. After graduating in 2005, he joined an auto parts factory in Quanzhou as a technical designer. From the start of his career, he held firm to the belief that technical expertise is the foundation of professional success.

During his tenure at the auto parts factory, he participated in key projects including the Asian ergonomic design of brake handles for Lotus vehicles and auto parts assembly design for Guangzhou Honda. "Back then, we verified every data point repeatedly and refined every detail to the extreme," Jaosn recalled. This experience fostered his rigorous and pragmatic work attitude and deepened his passion for machinery manufacturing. With precise technical control and a commitment to excellence, he established himself in the auto parts industry and accumulated valuable technical experience.

In 2010, he was appointed chief engineer of a non-standard machinery factory in Quanzhou. With greater responsibilities, he accelerated the pace of innovation. Under his leadership, the team developed 5-side balloon printing machines that were exported to Europe, while textile machinery and large-scale brick production lines also earned wide market recognition, continuously pushing the technical boundaries of non-standard machinery.

Entrepreneurship and Social Responsibility

Years of technical accumulation gave him the confidence to start his own business. In 2019, he founded Quanzhou Jason Machinery, focusing on the environmental protection sector with a core product of heat-insulating and sound-absorbing eco-friendly lightweight brick production lines, and successfully obtained two invention patents.

During the critical period of epidemic prevention and control in 2020, when masks and mask-making equipment were in severe shortage nationwide, Jaosn took the initiative to take responsibility. He led his team in intensive research and development, working around the clock in the workshop to debug and optimize the equipment. They soon put fully automatic flat mask machines and automatic KN95 mask machines into mass production, contributing technical strength to the epidemic prevention efforts.

"Being able to use technology to do practical things for society at a critical moment makes all the hard work worthwhile," said Jason.

Returning to Hometown, Rooting in Local Development

Despite years of success away from home, Jaosn always cared deeply about his hometown Jianning. "No matter how well you develop outside, your roots are always in your hometown," he said. Driven by this deep affection for his hometown, he established Sanming Jason Environmental Protection Technology locally in 2022, continuing the R&D of waterproof and fireproof eco-friendly lightweight brick production lines and adding three more invention patents.

After returning to his hometown, Jaosn not only brought in the environmental protection industry, but also turned his attention to local characteristic industries and infrastructure development.

Targeting the construction machinery niche, he developed the excavator-mounted round hedge trimmer for roadside green belts. The product obtained a national patent and was exhibited at the Cross-Strait Transportation Science and Technology Exhibition.

Seeing that local tobacco farmers relied entirely on manual labor for loading tobacco leaves into curing barns — a labor-intensive and inefficient process — he dedicated himself to agricultural equipment R&D. He successfully designed and put into production an automated tobacco leaf loading machine for curing barns.

"In the past, loading tobacco for curing was all done by hand — carrying and arranging the leaves manually left us exhausted after a full day, and efficiency was low," said a local tobacco farmer. "Now with the automatic loading machine developed by Jaosn, we save a lot of labor. The quality of cured tobacco is more stable, and our income has increased as well." He spoke highly of Jaosn's invention with sincere gratitude.

Looking Ahead

From auto parts design to non-standard machinery R&D, from leading the environmental protection and engineering machinery sectors to supporting agricultural development in his hometown, Jaosn has left a remarkable mark in the machinery manufacturing industry over nearly 20 years with technology as his core strength.

Looking to the future, he has a clear plan: "I will continue to uphold the spirit of innovation, keep exploring in the field of machinery manufacturing, and bring more advanced technologies and projects back to Jianning to contribute more to the industrial development and construction of my hometown."
